Q1: Where should I download the Haloryn installer?

Download Haloryn only from our official website to ensure you receive the latest, verified version. The download page automatically detects your operating system and provides the correct installer.

Q2: How do updates work?

Haloryn includes an in-app auto-update system. When a new version is available, you'll be notified inside the app and can update with a single click. No manual reinstallation is required for most updates.

Q3: Can I manually download a newer version?

Yes. Manual installers are available for users who prefer fresh installs or need a fallback. These are always published on our official download page and GitHub Releases for transparency.

Q4: I'm seeing security or permission warnings during installation. Is this normal?

Step-by-step guidance

Follow the steps below for a smooth install on Windows or macOS.

Windows

  1. Grab the verified installer from the official download page and double-click to launch it.
  2. Allow the installer through Windows Defender if prompted and accept the default install path unless you need a custom directory.
  3. When the installer finishes, launch Haloryn, then grant network and microphone permissions as requested.
  4. The app will check for updates automatically after the first run.

macOS (Intel & Apple Silicon)

  1. Download the correct architecture bundle from the official page so Apple notarization matches your chip.
  2. Open the disk image, drag Haloryn into /Applications, then use the context menu and "Open" when you first launch to approve it.
  3. If macOS warns about an unidentified developer, confirm via System Settings -> Security & Privacy -> General.
  4. Allow microphone and camera permissions if you rely on those features, then let auto-updates keep the app fresh.
